belt buckles

These buckles are silkscreened, fused glass and are approximately 2 1/4 " x 3 1/2", about 1/4" thick. I create the artwork for them, make a screen and print the design onto Bullseye glass with fine glass enamel powders that become a permanent part of the design when fused (I also have two designs which are stenciled on with Thompson glass enamels). From here, I stack the printed design with another layer of glass for durability, then fuse + anneal them in my kiln. I follow up with a little edge grinding to maintain the shape, which gives them a nice, matte edge, and glue on the back with super strong glue.

Each piece is made here in my studio by me - please note that buckles may vary from the images here due to their handmade nature. All buckles will fit on any belt up to 1 1/2 " wide - you can have your own belt converted to a snap belt, allowing for change out of buckles, at any cobbler (should run you less than $5) or you can order a handcrafted leather snap-belt from me.
